The export .zip is opened in your browser (including an export zipped inside another zip). Every path gets a clean name with the ID removed and a number added on collisions. Each Markdown page is rewritten: callouts to alerts, property lines to front matter, and every relative link and image path decoded, resolved against the page’s folder, mapped to its new name and re-encoded relative to the page’s new location. The result is written to a new .zip with all images and CSV files, and a merged document is built in folder order with databases as tables.
