  • If your Data Center version supports more Code Block languages, you can edit the language name in the macro afterwards.
  • Images must already be attached to the page or hosted online; the wiki markup refers to them by name or URL.
  • For Jira issues and comments, use Markdown to Jira — the markup is similar but Jira’s code blocks differ.

Pipeline Architecture Specification

For Cloud, the Markdown is rendered to HTML and placed on the clipboard as formatted content, which the Confluence editor converts into its own elements on paste. For wiki markup, the Markdown is parsed into a token tree with marked and written out in Confluence’s syntax: headings, emphasis, nested mixed lists, tables with escaped pipes, links and images, code macros with supported language names, panels from GitHub alerts, and escaping for characters Confluence would read as markup.
